A hive of activity was noticed today on the air from 0700 this morning with many armed BAF fighters conducting sorties.
This is part of the Bangladesh Air Force ADEX-2020-2 air defence exercise involving units at Dhaka, Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Moulvibazar, Tangail and Bogura.
The exercise involves attack, interception, aerial surveillance, Special operations and other types of war fighting strategies.
Bangladesh Air Force fighters, transport aircraft, radar unit and ground based air defence (SAM) units.
Most notable during this exercise is the fact that the Bangladesh Air Force is conducting the training in the Air Defence Identification Zone (ADIZ) of Bangladesh for the first time.
The Bangladesh Navy is assisting the Air Force during this exercise.
