Dhaka city corporation mayoral election
TigerShark replied to Jack Ryan's topic in Social & Current Affairs
People do not have faith on this substandard EC. It can go two ways, voter turn out high as citizens want to vote out the ruling party or a low turn out in fear of violence. EC is simply not doing enough to stop violations of its rules. All four major party candidates are literate yet at ward level you'll seldom find a graduate. Most are SSC passers.- 4 replies

Video : Cat saved from certain death by Fire Service

FS is a very commendable organisation. If Police is having over 200,000 personnel its a tremendous disservice to maintain only 5,000 personnel in FS force. -
He was merely outlining America's grand vision. Bangladesh will end up like another collateral nation (Pakistan) if this is realised.

Bangladesh-India border watch
TigerShark replied to Jack Ryan's topic in Bangladesh Internal Security Forces
I agree with the minister. 1. We have enough domestic cattle in the country. 2. Indian cattle sometimes carries anthrax. 3. Cattle traders know the risk. Its ultimately their fault. 4. Cattle traders and BSF are both responsible for the crisis at the border. Usually disagreements related to bribes causes the shootings. -
The only sustainable way forward from hereon is an international peacekeeping force in Rakhine state. Unfortunatly the UN became a toothless organisation because major powers like China and Russia decided to take the side of war criminals.

1. Bangladesh Army sent small number of officers to train in Pakistan at SSG facilities. 2. Bangladesh is the most successful in combatting terrorism in the region so far. CTU forces exist with major city and national agencies. They are trained by FBI and also in Jordan. 3. Whether SSG is the best is debatable. They are elite so they're supposed to be the best of their forces.

The AH-64E should be summed up as a confidence building measure of sorts to improve defence ties between the two new friends. If the program is executed successfully BAF should request sale of C-17 and P-8 aircraft to shore up transport and ASW capabilities. Navy purchases are easier had from UK or even Italy.

Should we be really building coal based powerplant at a time when many nations are abandoning this power technology?
